So my company screwed up my paycheck and I was told that they put the difference on my efs fuel card. When I went into loves I asked how I get this money. They had me fill out a blank check to myself with the efs code on it. Then gave me cash...did I do that correctly? The money doesn't come out of my next check like an advance right? It better not lol
    Thanks

What does your dispatcher or the dispatcher's boss say? Your company knows your company's procedures better than an hourly employee at the Loves truck stop.

It is much easier and faster to go to the forum and ask a bunch of people that have no idea than to simply pick up the phone and call the actual people that would know for sure.

I'm going to agree with the other replies and attempt to explain why. When a carrier uses a 3rd party like EFS or Comdata, they have different options. The best source of information when it comes to your fuel card is going to be the person at your carrier who is in charge of running it carrier-wide.

However, with the above said. You did the routine properly. I highly recommend you keep some blank EFS checks handy. In some situations, you could have also used that EFS card in an ATM. Again, go back to your carrier and find out how to do this. On some cards, it does matter what account you pull funds from.
