Ach, I'll just put in a 6 hour driving day, park that first spot at 1 PM every day. Done.
It might take trumps burgers 10 days to get DC delivery... He will just have to wait.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I did automotive load Saturday day. It had 5 stops plus the delivery. It was 420 miles and took 13.5 hours. One pickup was closed and it shows how much time we lose. I was 4 hours late to delivery and they had pay last pickup employees to wait for me.
They have no problem sending driver to a pick-up only to find out they are closed on Saturdays. How could they not know this in advance. They need to fix the dispatch system not the HOS. -
I agree 100% with you.
Look what’s out here for drivers now. I bunch of mega fleeters and 3rd world rejects not many truck drivers left. -
and for those of us where dispatch isn’t a problem ?Oxbow, Coffey, jamespmack and 1 other person Thank this.

Sorry, I’m not trying to start a debate about ELDs. Just wanted to know the likely hood of it being repealed with the new data that has come forward. As someone stated earlier we would have to look at all the miles driving and then compare to have accurate data. I’ll agree that the chances are slim but I’ll settle for a small carrier exemption and let the megas baby sit the steering wheel holders. I know many have had ELDs before the mandate and tbh I get it. If I ever hire a driver I would have him on ELDs, less likely to get a oos and hurt my csa.

The thing about standing high on the mountain looking down at others is.....always some ####### comes along and knocks your feet out from under you. It's a long way to the bottom
-
Then you don't have any problems. You can stop when you want or need to. Just like I can some days. Not every day is a problem

T
Thats the problem, you can’t stop when you want. You stop when that clock runs out. Doesn’t matter if your 1hr from home or worse 3hrs from home and now you have to do a 34hr reset. Driver gets stuck in stopped traffic because some 4 wheeler rolled over. Now he/she is racing to make up the time they lost. -
A little off topic, but my suggestion is change the HOS to 16hrs on duty 14 drive or better yet like someone suggested before, 16hrs on duty and get ride of the drive line. Do what you want for 16 hrs and rest for 8, simple.
Coffey Thanks this.
