Ease of use / Ease of install and $15 per month is fairly cheap

ELD's are not going to put me out of business. I hope it does put others out of business. The way I look at it a fresh logbook with 11/14 hours ready to roll ought to be a hot commodity at times. If anything this will create scenarios where the closest truck with fresh hours can dictate a rate even though there are lots of trucks around in any given area. Of course I might be a dreamer. I can tell you one thing for sure though. I'll #### sure be leveraging the fact I have available hours to complete the run as needed for a solid rate.

Actually, he can't pull that up on side of road. That information is not readily accessible. It is a fairytale that people are cooking up so they can keep running immigrant on paper logs.

The original comment however was aimed at those that believe falsely that you cannot log faster than 65 on paper. That just isn't true.

Every eld i know about shows total driving time and miles driven. Simple math shows what your average speed is.

I worked for 2 weeks for a company that had GPS Insight added to my truck. I could not find the thing to disconnect it so I had them transfer it to me. I do not know anything about it but since I am now paying for it I am learning. It has a Hours of Service side to it and elogs so if it is anything anyone knows about HELP. If not, I might start a thread to add what I have learned about the system.

Who said anything about a ticket? You said that the trucks speed for the day is not readily available, i disputed that based on my knowledge of eobr logs.
