    Well, of course an Auditor is going to cover his hiney and tell you that, did you really expect anything else?

    Suppose a problem came up and you told someone, "Well, my Auditor said I didn't need to log that sort of stuff." Now the Auditor could be exposed to problems........

    That, and the auditor by simply doing his job has to answer the legal answer. And as silly as the example of buying straps is, it's still the legal answer to log it.
