Anyone else switched over to these? I got my second device on Thursday, an eGo-T B-Type. It's a three part device, 1000mAh battery, b-type (non-tapered cylinder) atomizer and 2.5ml tank/mouthpiece.

It works great, after you fiddle with it and learn how to tweak the tank to deliver the amount of liquid you like. I currently use 18mg/ml nicotine solution.

My sleep is no longer disturbed by coughing or strange breathing. I am breathing and feel far better than I did this time last week.

If you are thinking about getting one, be sure to get a tank type device. Those cartridge (polyfilled) devices are far inferior. I have one of those and it was a nothing more than a waste of money.

I'll update this on how long the initial battery and atomizer last.

Well basically you need a battery, atomizer, tank and a bottle of the solution. If you smoke a pack or more a day I suggest a 3 to 6volt 1000mAh battery or larger.

There are lots of styles, but after my experience with the cigarette styles, I would avoid them. They are weak and die quickly under heavy use. That is why manufactures like Blu usually sell you a starter kit with three batteries in it. But Blu and most of the similar types all use a polyfilled cartridge that dries out within 2 hours. Tank style is the only way to go IMO.

This is the eGo batteries. The smaller pic is a passthrough type. It is a manual, meaning you have to press the button to activate it. They also require a 4 hour charge after you get them, but you have to wait for them to die first. Then you have to make use the do not overcharge on the first full 4-hour. After that initial charge, they should only require a 2-3 hour charge every 2-3 days even with heavy use. They are lithium-ion batteries and cannot be charged overnight. I would also get a passthrough version. This allows use while charging, but not during the initial 4hr charge.

This is the type-B atomizer, a straight cylinder that holds a 2.5ml tank. They Type-A is tapered and holds a smaller 1.7ml tank. Once a week (I do it everytime I refill the tank) you have to blow it out. Takes about 3 minutes of blowing to clear it, but it will allow it to last much longer. After you clear it it has to be primed by placing a drop or two of solution on the atomizer. When you first get them they have an unflavored PG solution in them. Blow that out, then prime it and pop the tank in.

These are the tanks. the clear plastic cap on the opposite ends are discarded before use. There is a smaller cap under that, pop it off, fill up the tank, and push it into the atomizer. You may notice how the sides are squared off. This is an alignment aid, as the atomizer plate has a similar shape. Match them up push the tank in give it a 1/4 turn (either direction) and hit the button.

I've tried the ones at Pilot. They made me gag. Is there better brands out there?
I'm willing to give it another try if I could find one that is useable. They ain't cheap.

Which one are you using BJ?

More power to ya, guys- get off those cigs! Took me five years to quit, you can do it.

Today, it's electronic cigarettes- how long will it take for us to start seeing homeless people stumbling around sucking on electronic crack pipes?

I can see it now- get your refills at the local head shop, or through Canadian Pharmacies online.

But, seriously, hope you make it work, no one needs cigs.

    DAGNABIT!!!!

When the tank on the ezGo-t gets to less than 15%, IT LEAKS!!! Air Pressure differential...

That is SO FAR the ONLY negative about this...

YES YOU HAVE WITHDRAWALS FROM THE OTHER GARBAGE IN SMOKES, but I suggest switching ot American Spirit or American Native (Cheap version of AS) B4 getting a VS/ES (VaporSmoker/ElectricSmoke)

No other problems so far other than withdrawals that come from not smoking at all, but the nicotine cushions the symptoms.

YOU WILL EXPERIENCE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS TO A FAR LESSER DEGREE WITH THIS ITEM.

But it truly will show you what you are addicted too. For those who know, tobacco is just like marijuana, it lets you leave it alone. It is the other crap the corporations put into the mix that you are addicted to NOT THE NICOTINE!!!!

I was using a 36% solution(36ml/ml) in a 50-50% vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol solution. (A VERY big hit). I am down to 18%(18mg).

If you want to quit smoking PLEASE try these. NOT THE DISPOSABLE!!!! THEY MUST BE TANK TYPE ECIGS!!!! Disposable types will DISAPPOINT YOU!!! The cartomizers or cartridges THAT CONTAIN POLYFILL OR ANOTHER ABSORPTION MEDIUM WILL DRY OUT WITHIN 4 HOURS!

I have been using the e-cigs from South Beach Smoke for several months. I use the deluxe model. White cigarette part is the rechargable battery and the "filter" part is solution, atomizer, etc. I guess similar to the ones at Pilot, Loves, etc.

The batteries eventually started acting up, so gave them a call. Since I am on monthly renewal for the cartridges, they sent two new batteries to me for free.

For those interested, nicotine has actually several good benefits. It is the delivery system that messes you up... smoking. Nicotine has been clinically shown to substantially reduce the risk of altzheimers and parkinsons by over 75%, and has been shown to stimulate small blood vessel formation and stimulation... critical for those with diabetes. Their is substantial evidence that it improves memory retention as well. One study found it to be quite effective at reducing pain from having a tooth pulled.

No one really studied the benefits (if there were any) of nicotine, until the patch and the gum became widely used. All of this information is readily available.
