Forgive my ignorance but I haven't seen that law.

Elogs suck and the HOS suck but if you're going to use the elog as an excuse to drive when you shouldn't then you'd find an excuse anyway.

kansas transit first of all,you have guys in company trucks all over being told what to do or they are fired. this is a simple reality and you know it.

secondly,i had to LOL at your post, because you declare the driver captain of the ship yet you seem to be a promoter of a device that takes all of that away. you ain't captain of anything if all you can do is stop.

finally, your post is the cop out. you really think a werner or swift or cr england driver is captain of the ship? really? no,really? give me a break....

i guess i don't see what is so hard to understand. the hos promote driving when a guy is drowsy because his clock is running, and stays running barring an 8 hr break.

Bean Jr. and Oxbow Thank this.

The most important is money. In the real world no Safety will trump on money. You tell them that you had to pull over to take a nap and got late to the receiver, they'll tell you "That's ok! You did the right thing brother!" but they'll let you go sooner or later.

The 14 hour clock causes drivers to be impatient and unsafe...........

    THE END

As I stated, IF that driver can't run that schedule safely, then he should be doing something else, Jesus, you act like everyone out here is an indentured servent!!!!!! Maybe some of these guys shouldn't be watching movies all night, or playing vid games till dawn, I'll let you in on a little secret, in all of my years OTR I've never even had a TV in any of my trucks, I work, I eat, I shower, I go to bed, and then I start over in the morning.

That's right! 14 hour rule is, in reality we face everyday, the biggest problem. No shippers/receivers are to change. We'd have to adjust to them. Whoever pays money demands, not the other way around.
