You may be right to a degree, BUT, in order to change that thinking everyone should just keep doing what they are doing? If this happens enough, and enough guys pull over and miss del. things WILL change, because as YOU said money is king, and if that happens enough, the money flow does get interrupted.

So you're saying that you drive differently with elog than you did before you had elog?

Absolutely ridiculous, that box doesn't drive that truck, and if that is the way you truly think, grow a pair!

How do you do that? With paper logs I was able to laugh at HOS, but how do I "cheat" now? I'll find some way...I am sure.

Joe, in all seriousness that right there IS THE ISSUE, if you have to "cheat" the system to make a living working 14 hrs a day and 70 hours a week, then for gods sake man something is wrong here,,,, and you guys are complaining because you want to work more?

    peterd and pattyj Thank this.

Of course it is possible. Use your imagination. He might have had to park at 5:30 pm (due to the 14 hours) to wake up at 3:30 and drive half asleep.

    That's what I thought.

I get what you're saying but I strongly believe that anyone who takes their responsibility seriously will not let themselves be influenced by the elog to drive when they shouldn't.

And anyone who doesn't take it seriously will take stupid risks regardless of whether they have that stupid electronic device or not.

Elogs neither increase or decrease safety. They're just pain in the ###.
