Roberts450 Thanks this. -
What other info do you need>
-
What engine do you have?
The only thing I can find for that code is #3 exhaust valve fault.angelland Thanks this. -
I believe your right about exhaust I'm not a truck driver was just trying to help son out sorry I didn't give you enough info. He found to 2 bolts missing off his manafold last night. Do you know anyplace in Albuquerque NM that would have the bolts? Or a place I can look for them in that town. I did a search and found one place Jackson equipment but not open yet

Hopefully he is at the flying j and not the Love's or TA. The hook is closer to peterbilt than the other two are.

He ended up at DDL they said $1,000.00 to fix 6 hours later after they kept adding to it ....it was up to $2,650.00. Because he needed to use 2 different CC and their system would not except split payment the manager showed up and took a personal check for $1,800.00 (which they never do). I was wondering what it really cost to have manafold with 2 bolts broke off???

I'm guessing he must've been at the TA, then, as that's the closest fuel stop to where DDL is.
As for the cost...he might've gotten soaked or it could have been something under the rocker cover that caused the bolts to break. That's just one of the reasons I'm trying to learn more about diesels. Knowing common causes for problems keeps the parts manager from just throwing new stuff at it.angelland Thanks this. -
Broken bolts, especially exhaust bolts, aren't always easy to get out. May have had to pull the turbo and manifold to be able to drill it properly.
HoneyBadger67 Thanks this.
