I used to use it years ago, but the list of phones that it works on keeps getting smaller and smaller. It seems that a lot of cell providers caught on and started finding the holes in the software that it used to bypass detection on subsidized phones. I just use my tablet's screen share to send it to my smart tv.

 

Blair NE Dollar General is a good spot and they have overnight parking. Like @Long FLD said tho the lines are angled wrong if they kick you out waiting for a door. Once you get a door assignment from security, get to your assigned door break your seal and throw it in the back. Slide your tandems and I think you have to unhook. I can’t remember but I know they air lock out your trailer, so if not disconnect your red line. Walk up to the receiving office and there’s a mailbox on the side of the building. Throw your bills in there annd head back to the truck and they will come out and give em back to you signed when you’re done. I think i was there like 3 hours for unload time. No facilities there’s a port a pot across from the receiving office. You enter on 10th street off HWY 75. If you’re comin across 36 do not turn down 10th it’s no trucks. You have to go south on US 75 which is also 13th street and run it down till 10th Street hooks up with it.

It takes 75-100k to get a new engine broken in.

 

@YardMule89 have you lived here long enough that you remember the Holidome? I sure do and it was the nicest hotel in town. A shame that it’s came down to this

 

They had one in Manhattan too that closed years ago.

 

There’s another old one down in Arkansas City. I stayed there when it was a Holiday Inn and I believe it’s now an Econo Lodge, if it’s even still open that is.

 

I think it was a Ramada when I got here in 2012. The homeless have gutted all the copper, used toilets/bathtubs with no running water and basically destroyed it. A buddy walked through it awhile back and he said dozens of homeless are still in it even though it's supposed to be secured. Lonnie Wilson told me a demo outfit out of KC approached him about dumping concrete and bricks on his lot on State St. He said a guy in TX owns it and wanted $2.1M for it and it will run $400k to demo it.

 

It's still there, stayed in it for the better part of two months while we were milling Hwy 166 a couple years ago. Indian owned and pretty clean and well kept considering it's age.

 

Feels like every time I go to California, I can’t make a delivery on time for my load coming out.

This morning, even after waiting on my load assignment still went pretty well considering I had to tarp a load of shingles. I still had plenty of time to stop in Ontario for fuel and weigh before I continued onward and out of this republic.

Until I stopped in Ontario to weigh. 1200 lbs over on the trailer. Mixed with the traffic and pacific time. Called in, my dispatcher was already gone and spoke to someone else’s (wasn’t night dispatch yet) told her the situation. She said find a safe place to park and she would put in a message for morning.

So, doesn’t look like I’ll make it on time. I have to go back to South Gate (after I get instruction to do so) to get the load shifted. Wonder if I’ll get paid to tarp it twice..

Fuel and showers still seem to be screwed up at the TA Ontario. Or it least I had problems with both.
