I see there is alittle bit of confusion on fedex ground and there operations. First have have been with them for 8 months, there are 100% contract all trucks are not owned by fedex. How ever the trailers are owned by fedex. All contractors for fedex ae different pay, equipment, benifits and so on. I have a friend that is team he has mile pay, plus drop and hook, paid wait time and a few other goodies. Me I am strictly mile pay only 34. All trucks have to be I beleave no older then 5 years old, have to be a team truck (sleeper), and no longer then 270" wheelbase. I keep hearing contrators talk about POINTS for there trucks. The more points the more work that truck gets, is what it boils down to. It is also soppused to help when contrats are discussed, but that does not happen often. I think it boils down to who you know and what you do for them. As for fuel if you get fueled at a fedex termianl I think there is a good price break for the owners, but I am not sure. I personnally like working for them I have made good money, and home every night. If you look into them make sure you get a list of contractors before you start, and weed them out. Good luck.![]()
