Hello any ideas how to validate a FedEx line haul route or know a CPA familiar with FedEx routes? Also approximately how many miles would you recommend having your tractor engine rebuild? Thanks

What is “validating a FedEx linehaul route”?
p608 Thanks this. -
I may have used the wrong term. Route valuation is the correct term as I'm trying to find out if what the seller says his route is worth is actually true.

If you cannot figure out your cost plus the premium for buying the route maybe this is not a business for you..
Number one question is why is he selling..
Not making money, too many crashes or health or divorce. -
Have you looked at his ar from FedEx and his books?
A cpa wouldn't have a clue what is what, but when you see his numbers anyone can figure them out.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
I am not trying to be a jerk, but this question leads me to believe you know absolutely nothing about trucking. I have read stories of absentee owners making money buying FedEx routes, but I don’t believe it is a turn key auto pilot type of investment. I wouldn’t want to invest in something I had limited knowledge of, but you could be more adventurous with money than I am. Just my opinion so take it for what it is worth.

I wasn't going to post my normal truck buying advice because his first question seemed to point to the fact he didn't have the experience.Oldironfan Thanks this.

The routes often come with the equipment, so I guess he is wondering how soon the rigs will need a rebuild. I think that will be the least of his worries.Last edited: Jun 2, 2018

If you haven’t already done so, google people who have bought FedEx routes. There are some successful people who have done so, but it appears they earn every penny they make.
