Do not go through their traning. They have already been slapped with a fine from the state of Texas for giving out of state students TX CDL'S that do not live there. If you do, only take a company trainer with more than a year under their belt and DO not except an owner operator as a trainer. Company trucks run 62mph.
The company tells you can make over $637 a week. That's not true. In fact they have sold their Dry Van division to Celadon which had some good loads. Most single drivers are lucky if they get a 1000 miles a week. Insurance cost a driver $75 a week. When a company is using an out side broker to get loads means they are losing loads.
DO NOT GO Owner Operater, YOU pay for THEIR refer fuel, YOU make the truck payments but they control the speed, repairs, money, YOU pay twice the amount for the base plates over the lease period. Etc....
The company has some good people but bad planners, and they need to start cutting the people from the top who are making the decisions and not from the bottom of the people who have to follow them.
Investors you are being taken for a major ride and snow job.

i used to drive for AMERICAN EAGLE LINES back in the 90s. Ed Eldridge was president of AEL. it was a good company but didn't pay much. from what i've heard, mitt stubbs retired & when his son russell stubbs took over that's when it all started going to hell in the dumpster real fast.

I don't know about FFE, but I do know the quote above is ########. My company uses brokers on top on their contracted loads, and they aren't losing loads/accounts. If I get sent to an area where freight is slow, then I'll get dispatched on a brokered load to get me back into their main lanes. I'm pretty sure this is a common practice among large carriers.74dred, Doublecutter and pete1 Thank this.
