    I back the truck and park the brake before releasing brake pedal.

    5th wheel releases tons easier.

    Of course I tried that. Actually that is the basic procedure I use anytime and everytime I need to release the kingpin.

    Same problem with 2021 t680 kenworth. crappy 5th wheel. it works maybe 30% of the time.The cab release in my 2017 t680 worked perfectly 100% of the time though.

    Never had a problem with the in cab release in my 2019 T680. I once had a problem with a FL after an Oregon winter and the volcanic crap they put on the roads for traction gunked up my 5th wheel.
