Take your arse back to court. Child support is a percentage of what u make. Even with back pay it shouldn't leave u in the negatives.

The bad part about this is that training pay from starter companies is normally crap. It's not even as much as unemployment. You've gone this far with that company and hopefully you'll get assigned a truck soon and start earning something. But start looking now for a better company now. Use your time at home to look. Look on the internet. Look in the newspapers. Look as you are driving around your town. Get your fiance to look for you. .26 per mile is slave wages, buddy.

Hey N172 , your hardcore and don't let anyone rain on your windshield! Your a man, knows what needs to be done, and are getting it done. My advice would be to hang in there if your child support is that high! I feel for you. Once you get out of training things should pick up and once you have experience you can train yourself to pick up some extra miles. I would advise not leasing in your position. It takes a lot of money and home time is really rare. When you do go home you still have to pay for that truck. (bout $1000 a week!)

Live cheap out there, maybe try listening in on some Dave Ramsey.

Well I upgraded yesterday and today got sent to recover a truck in Stockton, Ca. Just landed in Sac and getting a shuttle down to the address. Thankfully company paid for it all. They told me I could grab a truck at the yard, or pick up an owner ops truck have that be my assigned truck. Told me they would pay me $200 to go recover it. Why not? $200 for a 3 1/2 hour flight? Then get a load in the AM. Seemed smarter to me.

I wasn't ever "planning" on quitting, and with I will say that I'm quite capable of living off of canned soup. Treat myself to a Denny's once a week. Even the Denny's $2/$4/$6 deal isn't bad. I for sure won't leave this company on bad terms, wont burn any bridges, and sure as hell won't quite till I have another job lined up. And yes, training pay is pretty crap. $375 for weeks one and two, MAYBE get $150 before child support was taken out. Week three was $425, and week 4&5 was $475. Had to send almost all of my money home to be able to catch up on bills so things were/and still will be tight. When my fleet manager told me he would give me the $200, it was kind of a sigh of relief. I don't have to live off a booklet for routing/load info, and no map book. With it being an owner op truck I'm thinking it will all still be there, even the fridge, because the guy previously wasn't expecting to leave the company. Had to take home time for an emergency and had to quit.

One thing about Central is that they are always there to help. Whenever we had a problem Central really stepped up to the plate to help us! If you ever need anything don't be afraid to ask them. You will be surprised how far they will go! They once got us a very large settlement from Volvo due to breakdowns. Jon Issacson himself helped us a few times! So don't be afraid to talk to people there at Central. This is the number one reason I usually recommend them as a company.

N172 you will recover man. Just give it a little time and let that money start rolling in. I thought you said you lived in Oregon and if that's the case you should get by the house a little more often working for Central. I know they do quite a bit of freight up there so it wouldn't take much to get by the house even for a few hours to see the little ones.

Child support is usually based on your current earnings. You may need to contact an attorney to get a more fair settlement or try and do it yourself. Sometimes the decuctions are arbitrary. You should contest the amount and reach an agreement.
