Finding a good fit..

Good Evening,
I am thinking about getting back into the industry, I drove for Werner briefly (twice, didn't learn my lesson the first time apparently). Anyway, I don't particularly want to do OTR but I will bear it to gain enough experience to find a local job. Southeast Regional would be preferable, hard to find work in Florida. anyway, I would like to avoid mega carriers if possible. Here's some of the companies I've been looking into. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Mondelez International in Jacksonville has local work for box trucks and tractor trailers.

 

I did 6 months in 2016 and 3 months in 2019. Most of the companies I’ve spoke to said my experience doesn’t count as it’s not “recent enough”. I’ve got an app in at Davis, and National Carriers. I’ll look into the other two.

 

Pretty sure Abilene Motor Express will hire you. A couple of their trainers live in Florida.
