Finding Freight

    If you have your own authority, call brokers and set up new carrier packets. TQL, CH Robinson, Landstar...

    Sign up on the loadboards...TQL has a load board, so does CH Robinson...You wanna get DAT 360 loadboard and maybe internet truck stop...

    Not all brokers want to do business with new carriers...



    Assuming you have no idea how to find freight, I hope you have your operating cost figured out...

    do you know your market spots? what rate to find profitable when going to a certain area. You have to anticipate what rate you are going to get out of that crap location your about to go to...

    "Resumes" with cover letters, references and your company packet. Just send send send send. Just make sure you're good. Aim for local medium shippers.

    Every other month I hold a golf outing with free booze and hookers. I only invite shippers and brokers. They get invited twice, if they don't give me freight after the second time I make sure they know they the even is happening but all the slots got filled with customers. They seem to come up with freight going forward.
