I would ask your company for the route to take, or maybe one of the other drivers from your company thats made that run. Ive looked in my atlas and honestly i cant find an easy way or route.

Don't know Middletown - I would say go 55-60, stay in right two lanes, get ready to stop at every scale, expect CHP to pace you from behind, enjoy the scenery!

Don't worry about Ca. Truck speed limit is 55, but you can run 60 without any hassles. BUT, NOT OVER 60. Rollover routed you correctly. Once you pass Tracy, Ca. truckstops will be non-existant. You'll have to look for restaurants/fast food places/motels that have truck parking. They are out there, just need to be ready. And no left lane driving in Ca. for trucks.

You can away with 62...just don't do lane changes every other mile...
Usually you can get behind a rig that's doing the same speed and just cruise....
Get prepared for bay area traffic...I just got back from Hayward last night....Left at 3 pm.......worse than LA or Dallas.......

62-65 out in the desert on I40 untill you get to Barstow, on CA58 watch out when you get close to Tehachapi, CHP likes to hide out near the restarea, in the valley 60mph tops, in the bay area, your lucky if you can do 55mph sometimes. Plan on staying the night back in the Central Valley, you have to know where the parking spots are in the Bay. Its not as bad as people say, just don't try to prove something or showoff if you know what i mean.:biggrin_25525: If you do find parking in the Bay, don't do it in West Oakland, by the Raiders staduim, great place to get robbed, everywhere else, lock your doors.

My question is.... Why are you all mentioning I-40? If my memory serves me correctly. from North Las Vegas you will want to take I-15 south then get on 58 in Barstow. You don't get onto 40 at all.

Anyhow.... watch out for those left lanes. Stay in the 2 right lanes at all times. If you venture into any other lane you will possibly get a ticket... If you want on of those ticket let me know. I'll save you the hassle of getting pulled over & just send you the one I got a couple weeks ago.

California isn't as bad as the horror stories you hear. Just do what you need to do & obey the law. You'll come out of there without a issue.
