On my 99 pete 379 my flashers come on steady but will not flash. Same with the 4 ways. Im assuming its the flashers relay but I can't find it behind the dash panel.

Note: recently my window washer was leaking inside the dash and it caused a couple intermittent electrical issues but the flashers not resolving itself.

Can someone describe what it looks like or a more specific location for me to look in?

I'm getting tired of turning the flashers on and off just to make it flash.

Sounds like the flasher. It is behind the small dash panel to the left of the steering wheel.

Sorry about the delay. I have a 2000 379 and mine is a cylinder.

Thanks bad-luck . Mine was actually a box (maybe it had been switched out at some point) my mechanic didn't have a match but he had one that said Heavy Duty.
So we put that in and everything worked fine in the yard. This morning...no flashers AT ALL. Tbey weren't even coming on steady like before. I checked the fuse and it was good. However, a couple times during the day they would work properly, then die again.

Could putting in the heavy duty flasher cause this new problem??

Just wanted to update my problem. Turns out my window washer fluid was leaking behind the dash. It soaked the flasher. That caused my flasher problems.
It caused several other odd electrical problems too.
Fixed the washer leak, dried everything out, still had to chase a few wires and clean up some connections that got wet but everything seems to be working ok now, plus my windows are cleaner now that all the washer fluid is going to windshield instead of half of it ending up in my dash.
