I used to think the samething, till I blew a tire in
No mans land N.M. In the middle of the night.
Limped to a no name tire shop that was closed.
There was a own/op ahead of me.
He blew out a super single.
Cost him 1350 bucks.
I watched him lay the cash on the table.
Fleeced After All..

That's way too much for one tire even a super single.

Why was you terminated? Why did you pay so much for one tire?Wouldn't it have been cheaper calling road brkdown? Why did you do that in secret?Lonesome Thanks this.

If he limped a super single he also bought a new rim with that. I've seen rims ground down to scrap metal just from the time it blew to getting over to the breakdown lane.Last edited: Feb 9, 2017

That's a good point. I limped in.
He was there when I got there.
I guess he didn't blow it sitting in their parking lot. -

$1300 is pretty common price for a Michelin super single on the road. Your looking at another $500 for the wheel.MachoCyclone, ZVar and Western flyer Thank this.

Would you care to share the "petty" reason you think might be why you got canned? This whole story doesn't add up.

That must be it then. They changed one tire on his
Truck and he dug 1350 in cash out of his pocket.
He wasn't smiling about it either.
