i recently had a rodent get in through shifter boot and now truck won’t start. Turns over good and has fuel pressure of 28 at test port. Check engine light comes on when key is on which I was told indicates power to ecm. New batteries. Had to repair 2 cut wires found, but must be missing one somewhere. Ideas?

It sat a couple of weeks and rat chewed a hole in boot then. What i need to know is how to determine if i for sure have power to ecu and what might stop truck from starting after i do have power there. I'm thinking of crank sensor or low coolant sensor.

Usually a bad low coolant sensor ( or if low on coolant) it would start then shut down. No power to ecm= no engine lights. Timing sensors good place as any to start. What about Clutch safety switch, wiring chewed up? Need to find the other wires that got chewed up. Good Luck.

the rat might still be in the truck ..... waiting. .... just something to think about when you get it running and trying to get to sleep. .......... sounds like it's the clutch safety wife to me

Buy a cat and don't leave any food /rodent bait in truck if you park it for extended time .
