Target fuel economy 5.5-6. 72 mph OTR also thru the hills. Still the same?

Okay you wake up in a different life. Your in your 1 and only hood, sporting cowboy boots, Canadian tuxedo, and a mustache. Are you running a 3406E or a 60 series?

 

I notice there is no consistency.. but Iam not a good lab rat to use.. because my trailer pulls like a parachute.. and I run hill country alot.. but the low end torque in the hills is what I like.. 4 to 5 mpg is my avg.. but 72 mph is alittle below my causing speed I like the 80 mph range

 

My engine is making this sound that everytime I go around a right turn it goes away but if it's warmer than 60*f ambient air temp the right turn amplifies the noise. So what's the best gear ratio for me?

 

I know @MLC Adventures rides rocking a sash.. I think he powered by Detroit ..
