Has anyone tried Freight4u as a dispatch service? Are dispatch services worth it? They charge 5% of the load and with factoring, it would be 8%.

I'd like to know what if anything you have figured out on these people as well. I have considered using them for dispatch service as well.

They have called me several times, which is annoying. I finally decided to block them when one of their “supervisors” called me and gave me a passive aggressive attitude.

What's the point of getting your own MC and then using dispatch services? You gotta know yourself how to book freight.

I know nothing about them, but at one time my wife kept several one truck operations dispatched, it seemed to work well for all involved.

If you take your loads from spot market (loadboards) only - definitely worth it to use dispatch service.
I currently lease to company and have a good dispatch but i use power.dat.com to help us find the best loads. So I see how important is dispatch.
If you don't have enough time - you loss in rates.
If you are tired and take a load - you loss in rates.
And yes - you need extra time for dispatch you self - you lose money.

My last 30 days on the road (53 Flat Conestoga) - 14024 all empty and loaded miles, $35,125 gross, 2.5 per mile. DAT average for June was $2.3 for flatbed.
Sure it depends on how good they are and how much they cost but so long I driving I will use dispatch.
