    110 volts X 1 amp = 110 watts.

400 watts might suffice. if the jumpstart wattage isn't too high.

I used a 1000w inverter and ran a small frig and a small micro. I also had a toaster and Direct TV but couldnt run those and the micro. I thought about a 1500w but still havent done it yet. My advice is to get more inverter than you will need.

Forgot to add, I ran the frig at around 25 degrees. I brought 5 weeks of food from home and it was all frozen. And enough water as well. It was nice because no matter where I parked, I had something to eat and drink.

Check on some of the RV forums. I was on RV.net for a while researching how to rebuild my travel trailer and some of the people there had done the same thing. The kicker in a trailer is upgrading the battery bank to supply enough juice off the grid but you shouldn't have the same problem.

I am setting up a system with separate house batteries that will be monitored and automatically charged by a small generator.

I was runnin my fridge of a cheapie cobra 800 watt inverter. With good batteries it would last 2 days in the truck without runnin the truck.

Most trucks APU's so why worry about battery charge. I wouldnt drive a truck that doesnt have an APU.

There is a company in Sioux Falls, SD that turns sleeper trucks into day cabs. The fridge in my truck is a factory fridge that they took out of a sleeper truck. It was a couple years ago but we got it for $100 and its still working great.

Custom day cab. They come up on a Google search.

Fridge my truck has was out of a Freightliner. Built a custom cabinet around it.
