Front radar for cruise control

Just wanna post this to help somebody out. A month ago I got into a accident where another truck driver rolled back into me and broke my front radar . The radar is what allows for adaptive cruise control. That front radar cost 3500 on ebay and between 4800 to 6300 if bought from dealer and another 300 to 500 bucks to program it. Anyway after month of driving with no cruise control I took it to a ecm shop and they bypassed the need for the radar. So now cruise control works but its just not adaptive. So if you dont wanna spend a fortune on that part theres a workaround to get your cruise back. Anyways hope this post helps someone out.
