Wait so is this original lines your replacing? If so they've lasted 16 years then why change it?
-
Yes, original lines. Changing them because I suspect they are pulling air from deterioration. I have found on occasion a small sliver of rubber on top of the primary fuel filter and, the feed lines from the tank to the splitter smell like fuel on the outside.
I know 16 years is good but, I'm just looking into something more modern or a better technology while I'm spending the money and time on them.dude6710 Thanks this. -
Is this Synflex available online? I can only find a part number of what I'm looking for 4KGEN-10-001. It's 2 15' rolls with 8 end fittings, when I type it in for a search nothing comes up for sale. -
I never got it online. Anywhere that sells Eaton stuff should be able to get it. I found that our local Freightliner dealer has the best pricing on it, lots of Freightliners use it as original equipment.

You can also get it at most Volvo Dealers.

Is there any special procedure to install this line onto the barbed fittings? Some of this No Clamps required stuff is a nightmare to push on! On a separate but related issue, when it comes to the air bubbles in the fuel lines that is only related to the Inlet/Suction side of the fuel system? I am getting some air into my lines (observed in my Return line) and I think its related to my No Start Condition but once the truck is running the amount of bubbles doesn't seem so huge that it can be my only problem. Either way, I want to replace the fuel lines on my Peterbilt.
