I have a 2020 cascadia. I haven't had any fuel for the first 100k miles. I parked the truck for about 20 hours and the temp was around 32, it may have been 28 at the very least. When I started driving it again, It was only pulling fuel from the PASSENGER side.
This is weird, because I know the driver's side is usually the primary. The fuel gauge reads off of the passenger side as well, so the gauge would show empty even though driver side is full.

I checked the vents, disconnected the return line on the driver side, and pushed air pressure through it in case the line was gelled up. I don't have a cut off valve at the return line, so I just had to cap it.

The dealer also put the air hose down into the driver's tank full of fuel and blew air through and we got movement and some bubbles in the passenger tank. At this point, I thought it was fixed because the gauge went from 1/4 to 7/8 when I turned on the truck. But when I started driving it was still only pulling from the passenger side with the gauge dropping to empty again.

After fueling that tank and running it down to 1/4, I stopped and The drivers side was still completely full. After sitting for a half hour, I noticed that the gauge had raised up to 1/2 again so I checked the driver's tank and they had equalized on their own. Since then the problem keeps recurring then fixing itself randomly, sometimes it equalizes sometimes it only pulls from the passenger side tank... Any help is appreciated

My old truck did this. Surprised to hear a 2020 doing that

Yeah, the worst part is the passenger side is only 60 gallons, so I'm fueling twice a day until I figure it out... Were you able to fix yours?

The only time I had one tank fail to equalize was when the mechanic forgot to open that tank's valve. A while later that tank went ahead and gelled in the cold. So all that fuel had to be thrown away and the valve opened so both could balance.

    Grasshopper23 Thanks this.

Check the vent tubes on the top of the tank. Sometimes bugs like to make them home.

Yeah we checked at the vents right away, that seems to be the most common thing, But I'm still at a loss on a diagnosis

Aside from a valve.. might be the cap, but is kinda low on the possibility list.

2019 t680 doesn’t always equalize. No clue why. Sometimes drivers is full passenger empty, sometimes vice versa.
I’ve never had an issue with the truck shutting down due to no fuel tho, even tho one tank probably only had a few gallons in it at fill up time.
Is it possible for them to get air locked?

The truck never shut down because of no fuel I was always able to make it to a fuel stop, but I would run it down to empty pretty quick because I was only pulling from the 60 gallon tank. But the dash gauge reads accurate to whatever is in the passenger tank. The driver side tank is 80 gallons, and I think it's abnormal for it not to be the primary

Do you add fuel additives?? Many times guys don’t rip the tinfoil all the way off and it plugs a line partially.. another culprit is the rubber off a fuel nozzle breaks a chunk off into tank..
