So twice in the last few months I've woken up to my fuel cap being off on my truck. Both times no fuel lost I had anti siphon things in my tanks. So have any of you ever had this happen our worse actually lost fuel because if it. I am thinking about buying the locking caps just to make me feel better plus I imagine a determined thief will get past those anti siphon inserts if he really wants.

-
I saw a guy that attached a hasp with padlock to his tank and fuel cap.

Are anti siphon things like screens in the tanks.Thats what my company has in their local trks and never though its there to prevent siphoning till now.I've never had that trouble but for your piece of mind I would get the lock cap.
-
most all new trucks now days have anti-siphon screens in them, but a 5lb hammer and a long 1in round bar takes care of them with 1 wack! locking caps are about your only option.
-
I never knew that.Goes to show how observant I am,lol.

most thieves arent going to be beating off th anti siphon rings with a hammer, thy like to go unnoticed.
anything that causes them extra work is helpful.
they can also beat the locking caps off with a hammer and chisel and a punch -
Had some reefer fuel stolen a few weeks ago.
