    The ECU printout is a good idea. My last truck I traded in only showed 8 parked regens in three years. I have heard of some trucks with over 300 in that time. The difference, I only idled the truck if it was under -30 at night, the other truck was idled pretty much every night.

    Regens and the related staff could be easy 2-3K upfront repairs. So yes better to check that dpf condition but unless they let you take the truck for a few hours what is the good method? I'd consider Schneider glider too.
