This is the progress thus far.
    Now I need a 10' x 10' insulated garage door installed.

    Thank you.
It's got some wrinkles in it, here and there, from the fire,
but you won't see it from the road.

    And so do I.
Oh, and another beautiful day today.

‘Olhand, AModelCat and Feedman Thank this.

Hopefully you got some extra money in your pocket from Insurance, thus from rebuilding yourself.

    Progress looks good.

    ‘Olhand Thanks this.

    Thank you.

Money from insurance is always depreciated, they took depreciation on every single little item,
they suck, but better than a stick in the eye.

Put the front fascia on today, took a picture, but I'm too tired for now.
Ran a screw thru the tin and in the side of my thumb, lots of fun.
Maybe after a hot shower, and after I settle in - I can post the picture.
A full day of work would kill me.
Went at it hard for 12 hours today.

A beautiful day to be alive. (Did I mention I hate winter?)

A merry Christmas to one and all!!
I have not posted any updates because - Winter.
(Did I mention I hate Winter?)
Got the roll up garage door installed, and working on new LED lighting.
Have several large cob lights, but still specific areas that need more,
like over the tire machine, work bench, toolboxes, etc.
most all the fire debris is removed except under the mezzanine.
Got too cold B4 I was ready to do the spray insulation this year.

Replaced most of the critical mechanic tools I lost, been hitting a lot of
tool and garage auctions for Snap On at a discount.
Bought a commercial vertical band-saw w/ blade welder cheap.
Got a big cabinet sandblaster at the same place.
Got all my torch stuff set up again, just like it was.
Big #5 acetylene, big oxy. bottle w/100' hose.
Medium size on a cart w/25 ft. hose, and a torch tote for bolts.
I need to replace my burnt plasma cutter with a big hyper-therm 1" cut.
That's still on the "to do" list.

I hate Winter, but it's a great day to be alive.
    Merry Ho Ho Ho.

I just re-read some of the rambling I was doing about the garage fire.
actually things went pretty well for the disaster it was.

I have one of those 20 ft carport tents with the pointed roof,
got it from Tractor Supply for like 1200.00 bucks.
Just had serious high winds and it split in half,
and got ripped into 2 smaller tarps. What to do, What to do?
I found a company selling billboard tarps, they are black on bock,
and they had a size that was 20" X 60' for about 200 bucks.

How am I going to get this up and over the frame?
Laid it out flat, I marked the 30' center-line,
and laid a 20 ft. long 4" galvanized pipe on it.
Then folded it in half over the pipe, for a lifting point.
hooked chains on each end of the pipe to my excavator bucket,
and lifted tarp and slid it up and over the top to the front side.

Put the two ends with zippered doors back on, and you would
not even think it was not original. Plus it's now two layers thick.
(Did I mention I hate Winter?)

    Feedman Thanks this.
