    I work for Celadon: as a dedicated Walmart driver: been here almost 10 years: We aren’t perfect, but, I do know we have true over the road and day 1 rider policy. I love working here and aim to retire from here. Hopefully. :)

    @laaylor thanks for the response. No such thing as a perfect trucking company. Glad you found a home. I spoke with recruiter from Celadon yesterday. Actually talked to her for about 45 mins. They are on the radar.

    It’s actually quite difficult nowadays to find a true OTR company. So many are doing so much “regional”

    They’re out there with OTR offers. It’s what I wanted (21-years in).

    I’m finishing up three weeks this trip. Drop & Hook (think line-haul). Some live load/unload. Have not waited more than an hour or two for next load, and that’s rare. MUST be always on time. Governed 68 and I run 66.

    Solos are in new 579 Pete close to O/O interior spec. 13L & AMT. EPIQ Package. Teams in FL condos. My 579 has a bunk pair, but not a condo. Bunk heater & BATT APU. Inverter. TV wall mount. Sirius/XM. Fantastic ride. (Most loads 30k or less). 7.8-8.3-mpg fleet average (the real game around here, some guys are above 9). Bonuses (but pay not high compared to some). Pre-pass/EZ-Pass, etc.

    Hold the wheel, let the miles roll by.

    All dry van. Several guys from Florida I’ve met. 200-tractors, 550-trailers (new disc brake trailers coming in now; that’s five axles of easy big-toe braking). And several large customers are the backbone. Details apply as to where you live, what’s available, etc. And it’s almost all old-timers.

    Company outside Hot Springs, AR. Finishing driver lounge soon. Best shop I’ve ever encountered. And same for owner.

    There’s no headaches here.

    No perfect jobs, it’s trucking. This was “perfect” for me.

    Good luck.

    Crete/Shaffer has a 45 days out thing. Not sure if it's available to you. Got rider policy but since I don't use it I'm not sure how it works. But they do send a automatic message asking if you want to extend days out. So I guess even on 21 days out you can extend it a ton

    @Slowmover1

    Exchanged a few emails with Crystal. Said they were booked solid in Florida but with me wanting to stay out 4-6 weeks a clip, she said ops said they would make an exception for me. Lol. So I’m going to fill out app and add them to the possible list. If they have a referral bonus and I decide to go there pm me and I’ll be sure to put your name and or Truck # down.

    Thanks again

    @tmb0507

    Have a call into them and filled out app. Waiting to hear back. I like their LOH. And trucks are spec’d nicely. And from what I’ve read on here, seems to be my kind of outfit. So they also are on my short list.

    Thanks for the response.
