Read the entire Roehl threads...at least the most recent ones....Roehl is a decent company for students...especially starting out from little or no knowledge...they won't even mention the word lease to ya....they want you to learn and succeed... and we also have some excellent trainers to train you once you are out of school....I would recommend Roehl to anyone getting into trucking....so far I have not had any real complaints and have been enjoying it immensly...

Look no further Roehl is honestly the best (in my opinion) that you will find. I think Roehl is the best STARTER company because they pay students better than any other company (except Crete) offer perhaps the most hometime 11/3 and are actually respectful and won't ever allow you to do something unsafe or illegal (NO RUNNING ILLEGAL i.e. out of hours). Look and see what you find but I started back in August and I am honestly glad I picked Roehl. That being said I have started looking for a different company because the pay is low after you get some experience and OTR is not exactly something I want to do. But you gotta be a slave in order to get something good in this career field.

Another really cool thing about Roehl is that if you start off doing vans you don't have to go to a different company if you decide to try flatbedding, or pulling reefers, or curtainsides. Whereas some other companies you're stuck doing one type of job. That is one of the reasons I chose Roehl. I wanted to try a little bit of each so when it comes time to move on to a different company I'll know what I want to do, and have a little bit of experience with a few different types of trailers.
Everett Thanks this. -
What type of trucks do they have?

I personally have driven 2007 freightliner columbia. 2011 Kenworth T660. 2011 International Prostar and a 2007 International 9400. I wish they would let me keep that 2011 Prostar, best truck I have been in.

Having had started with Roehl I can say honestly they are a great company to get in the biz with. For some good honest experience check out majestyk or my thread on here. I know there are a lot of others too. My thread has it all, tho i think Majestyk can wield the keyboard above par.
Having called them a great starter company i will also say they are a good company in general. Don't think they aren't here to make money, but they do take care of drivers better then some. As for pay they are in the upper percentage of what i can gather. They have better hometime options then most. One reason I have been contemplating a retrun in the near future.DrtyDiesel, WhereverIMayRoam, Everett and 1 other person Thank this. -
For student grads is there a training duration set in stone or do they let tallent move forward early? I ask because I have Very old experience and do nor qualify for refresher. I went back to full school. Graduate roughly apr. 20. It would be nice not to go through the whole dragged out thing.
