Some guys love them. Personally I don't see the point in spending 250 bucks when I can get a good quality lever action for under 50. Also they look rather bulky and a pia to use while laying under a truck.

Yeah, I've seen them as low as $189 I think it was, yeahh still expensive, but could be a time saver I would think.
Supposed to have a long grease line, would think that would make it easier to use under the truck?

You gotta be kidding me, have you ever used an electric grease gun?!? So much handier to use. One hand on the trigger and one holding the end on the fitting. Plus I could never get a manual gun to prime. Rarely have trouble with me electric. I've used several over the years, DeWalt, Lincoln, John Deere and a Milwaukee now.

    Cabinover101 and thaistick Thank this.

I try to grease about every other week, I've had my 12v Milwaukee for a few years now....it's absolute must have for me, so convenient and handy, one handed operation or really one fingered I should say. I can go months without needing to charge the battery. And you'll want to get the Lube n Lock coupler for a truly one fingered operation....

    Cabinover101 Thanks this.

Never used an electric but have used and own an air powered one in the shop. The only benefit i find with the air one is grease is a lot cheaper by the drum than buying cartridges. And the occasional time you need to pump a lot of grease such as refilling landing gear.

As for priming, my lever action has a primer, give a couple pumps and push the button down to let the air out. The cheap one I bought for my boat I prime by leaving the tube a little loose and pump a few times till grease starts coming out.

Guess it's just personal preference kinda like air ratchets. I never use mine, while other guys prefer them.

Does the electric have the same negative as an air one with over greasing? I hate that about my air gun.

Chances are the shackle is plugged up and needs to be cleaned out.

No, I can grease a lever gun faster than my Milwaukee.

Since you have used many different brands, do you like one brand better than the other for quality and performance?
