Greatwide

Thought Greatwide was all O/O after they lost the Publix account. Could be wrong. They lost the 3 Walmart Grocery D.C.s account in Florida.

 

GW has company drivers also... depending on what area you are in... GW also has new accts in the FL area....I would look on website and call Monday for the recrt in your area.. Good luck!

 

Someone posted they just lost their biggest account with Tyson.

My observation as I always see them.... Most drive wore out and damaged trucks. They are attracting the bottom of the barrel of OO's. I've seen one nice KW with GW.
Why?

LOL I am in Texas as well... and I have seen alot of worn out equipment. Stop being a salesman for greatwide.. They allowed themselves to get this reputation.. They made the bed let them LIE in it.. That is the one thing they are good at is lying.

I know you are not a contractor for greatwide by the way your post read I am pretty sure you are a flunky from the corp office. You can not pay for a "New " truck at the rates we are getting. I am quite sure I know what I am talking about and you haven't a clue as to what you speak of.

 

Having said all that in the other post I do wish you the best of luck in the future.. It is ok to ##### an moan on the net (and in person) but I hate to see anyone lose their job when something like this happens.

 

World of Transportation I didnt come on this post or forum to be rude and disrespectful and I have no DESIRE to be a GW Sales Chic! I am no flunky from the corp office either! You in Texas that is GREAT lol I come on here to have fun and get to know whats REALLY going on in the trucking world. Come to my side of the business and see what I do before you make judgements about ME who you DONT KNOW! Now I could make judgements about you and your posts but that is something I just won't do. Really... all i stated was fact in a bit of a snarky way but it is a fact.. Unless you have ever paid for a truck you have no clue what you are talking about.. I have dispatched trucks before and I know drivers are a pain in the ###..... I also know how difficult it is to pay for a truck at greatwide now days .... You can make all the judgments you want and I know they would be wrong..

 

I don't drive for Greatwide, but on the dedicated route I have been covering lately, my first stop is on the same side street as a GW terminal.

Their drivers are always considerate when I block the road to back up through the gate to get to the dock. Not a big deal, but more than I can say for a lot of companies.
