The 3176 was a little motor anyway. I think they top out around 365 hp at 1800 rpm Your truck sounds like It was ment to run around 55 mph. You can put faster rears, bigger wheels, and a transmission with more gears in it, and that may make it a faster truck, but its not going to be a powerfull truck because its still got that little 3176.

 

I agree with Truck Driver, 3176 is a lil motor, but in its defense, the one that I had I couldnt tear it up, wind it all the way up, shift, wind it all the way up, shift, lol... I kept telling myself "when it blows up, I will get a new'er' truck" well the stupid motor lasted longer than I could, had like 1.3m on the odo when I sold it, only thing in its life that was done was a head and turbo at like 400K before I owned it.
