Hansen and Adkins

They have ads all over Florida on Craigslist too. All the east coast baords have an ad. I gave it some thought but closest terminal is a 90 min drive for me. Im sure someone has some more in depth info though

 

Good company to learn how to haul cars. They pay okay and have good benefits. They are a very large company and have a lot of customers (that means a lot of drops). Mostly daycab trucks. They give you a corporate lodging card for the motels.

 

I subbed through Hansen and Adkins for almost a year before calling it quits. Though not really Hansens fault directly,.. I hauled out of the Orlando yard and the porters parking the cars were hitting the ramps so hard that almost every vehicle would have small scrapes on the front chin, others with nicks and scratches from chains and binders on the body. It became so time consuming just to get loaded and the damages verified before hand that I really couldnt move the volume needed to continue. That and most dealers take their sweet time coming out to inspect the cars, then sitting on a load over night not being able to make a night drop would put me behind for the next days deliveries. Oh and before I forget,.. getting frustrated watching company drivers heading out the gate with 1 strap on each wheel per car while I had to make sure all 4 wheels on each of mine were strapped down.

What I do now isnt much better. I miss how things were 15 - 20 yrs ago.
