    Hi All

I recently bought 2019 VNL 760 Volvo and for some reason my fuel tanks don't equalize during driving and to things be worse my passenger side tank keep sending fuel to driver side tank to point where my left tank will be full and right completely empty causing my truck to stop due to missing fuel(that's at least what error codes show on my dashboard) Also what is weird when I turn off truck in about 45min tanks gets equal and all fuel that was in left tank will go back to right but only when truck is off. When turn truck back on same thing happens start transferring fuel from right tank to left until its completely empty. Anyone had same problem?

Check the vents in the tanks. Sometimes they get crudded up and need cleaning.

Do you have shut off valves by chance? Or is there a restriction in the suction?

No I don't. Also not sure if there is restrictions anywhere. Not sure if it matters but my tanks are not connected with any hose like they where on my old volvo. All hose from tanks go to middle of truck. I followed them till point where I was able to see them but then they get mixed up with everything else and can actually see where they go after that or where is connection between them.

I have problems if I fill my tanks to full, I just go till they click and that's it. I've never had it as extreme as you tho.

Maybe the return isn’t going into one tank. It’s not sending fuel to the other. Just not getting replenished and running out early. Shut it off, it equalizes because it’s a closed siphon system. Same problem on my Freightliner. Haven’t fixed it yet myself. So I don’t know, just guessing. They have a fitting called GT splitter. Don’t know if Volvo’s have one. It equalizes return rate to tanks. Splits return from engine into 2 lines. They can go bad and cause only one tank to return.
