Hazmat Discrepancy

    The shipper skirted the issue with bags that were 1 pound shy.

    Not a safe way to do it, but legal.

    Truth be known, money probably changed hands long ago for that exception. There is no reasoning why it makes it safer.

    Legally you are able to carry it. It's a fine line. If i had no hazmat stamp, Would of refused it because i didn't know what the heck it was. easy to say on the other side with a stamp would've placarded any way and rolled with it.


    The BOL isn't accurate most of the time. Put my shoe in mouth. I trust no BOL weights . Placard away
    Let's get honest for a moment. any hazardous materials placarded in a wreck is a heads up for emergency personal. who cares about weight.
