I even used the search feature first and was surprised nothing came up.
What is your choice for scan tools, code readers, bidirectional communications etc.?
Just bought a 21 Pete 567 X15 efficiency. I know I'll be replacing sensors soon and often. Looking for a good scan tool that is easy to use and can make adjustments to programs, or even toggle on or off things like adaptive cruise or the anti roll stuff.
HD truck scan tool, code reader etc.?

You will need a laptop, an interface and the correct software. Cummins insite is the program for the x15. Search the internet, but be careful. There are tons of knock off and illegal copies of everything out there. A lot of the knock off interfaces won't work right. I bought the Noregon one and it works well. Look at heavytrucksoftware.net. he has been really helpful for me.
Deezl Smoke and ibcalm19 Thank this. -

And how do you identify what interface and software you need?
I know that on cars, you cant do everything with just a cheap OBD2 interface and the free software that comes with it, you can only read out speed, rpm and a few more things. I understand you need DDDL for a DD15 for example. You could pirate the software if you wanted to, but what about the interface, does DDDL work with any other interface than an original NEXIQ? -
Merry Christmas. I would think a desktop would work fine, just not easy to take on the road. Here is a picture of the top of the list of the adapters dddl can use. It appears that it can use just about anything.
makterna Thanks this.
