Hi All.
My name is Ray but you cam call me Coldrun. I'm a newbie to here and a wannabe future truck driver. I've been looking into various company sponsored training programs and I came across Earl Henderson Trucking. They seem to have a very good training program but I was wandering if anybody out there has any experience with them or knows more about them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I know they hire new CDL grads, but do they have their own CDL school?
Are you looking for a trucking company that has their own school or a trucking company that reimburses tuition from a private CDL school?Coldrun Thanks this. -
Thank you Chinatown for the reply. I believe they use a private school and they do reimburse tuition. The school is a four week course two weeks in class and 2 weeks driving. I have been looking at both, companies that have their own school and ones that use a private school. To me company school or private school dosen't matter as much as curriculum and company reputation. The recruiter that I talked with did say they provide the usual transportation and lodging but they also provide meals during the school week. The recruiter did say that after graduating I would be with a trainner for 8-12 weeks for the first few would be solo then we would team for the rest of the training. My share of the split would start at 0.14.5 and go up 0.01 a month upto 0.16.5 then increase every 6 months which seems a little better than others that I've looked into. The recruiter is going to call me on monday and I'll find out all the fine details but any insight is greatly appreciated.

Meals, lodging, plus the trucks have Tripac APU's. Pretty good deal.
If they still run lots of West Coast turns like they used to, then your paychecks should be good.
What is the minimum age requirement? For some companies it's 21 or 22 or 23.Last edited: Jan 18, 2015

Minimum age is 21. I'm 53 so I guess I meet that requirement, LOL. Yep, it seemed like a good deal to me and a good way to get started.
