Good evening all. I've already posted around a few times, but wanted to go ahead and throw an introduction in here. My name is Ron and I am currently active duty in the Coast Guard. I'm stationed in Astoria OR working as a search and rescue operations controller. I come from a long line of truck drivers and I am actually the first guy in my family that hasn't driven a truck professionally. The only reason for that though is because my mother forbade it after the death of my father in his truck when I was 7 (I posted a memorial thread for him yesterday). I definately have trucking in my blood, and even a little diesel in it since my dads accident covered me in diesel and I had multiple lacerations on my head. I have been wanting to drive a truck since I was born, but I am just now getting around to it.
I wanted to register here so I can chat with like minded folks and get to learn more about the industry I love so much. I hope to make some new friends here and learn a lot.
Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.
Ron
