Even if they were "Super Master Certified Driver Trainer Experts" they would still be in a hurry to run as many miles as required and get rid of their trainee and get on to the next one anyway. They have to pay trainers differently so there is no hurry in getting the newb into a truck on his own, but that's bad for business, companies need that new guy hauling freight ASAP to make profit (cheap labor), trainer just wants to run as many miles as possible and bring on the next. So it's all turning wheel. There's no hope for that.

You all might be surprised on how many trainees want to team. Its trainers job to give them some experience at it.. Obviously its pointless if a trainee cant read a gps

When I worked for Walmart we had a driver stop in our parking lot and tell us he was looking for the DC. It was 4 am and he had a 5 am delivery appointment and was lost. I worked at a store in Las Cruces, NM and the Walmart DC is in Los Lunas, NM which is 200 miles to the north.
