Look the above is sound advise for person with options, however if you are down and pretty much out, you got to take what is there even if it is a bad deal.
For the optimal situation you should go the Community College route which is cheaper by at least 50% and give you every option as in who you want to drive for and yes you will def be offered over .30 cpm going this route. However it comes at at cost the college classes are often longer as in 2 to 2 1/2 months you learn more but also you have to go without a pay check longer. Plus the school wants their money ASAP unless you get sponsored or make arrangements.

One option for you might be the Celadon Truck Driving School in Indianapolis, In. I don't know if they would provide you transportation from where you live, but they are building(maybe just completed) a student driver dormitory and they do provide some meals. They will school you for your license, then put you to work with a Trainer. That is when you start making money and you'd be sleeping on the truck. Complete the training, you get your own truck. May be worth checking them out..
