Hello everyone,
They’re selling an old trailer at a good price: a 50ft flatbed. It has these axles, but I don’t know what type they are. I’ve looked, and they seem like Dayton? Would anyone know if these axles can be repaired and if it’s worth it, or is it better to replace them with something more modern? I have a Meritor axle with air suspension. Thoughts? Thanks.

If the price is right, you can swap those out for hub pilot hubs. Obviously, you're looking at least at hubs with new bearings, two wheels, and nuts.
Buying new parts, you'll be over 1k$ at each position if you go with super cheap tiresBoxCarKidd and dayronalonso11 Thank this. -
Looks like a screw in hub cap. Fruehauf trailer? If so you have Pro-Par axles.

Those look like 15 inch lock ring tires. I thank 17.5 tubeless rims will bolt right on there when tires need replaced. You can even run them side by side. I would go tubeless and run it.
If the spindles are not great buy axles and go hub piloted. Maybe about $3.000 an axle in parts.Big Road Skateboard, Star Rider and dayronalonso11 Thank this. -
Do not thank I included tires.

You might be right on the 15 inch with those type of spokes. If they are with that style of hubcap I'm thinking Dexter axles.Big Road Skateboard and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

Three spoke deal I thank is Webb but that hub cap does not seem to go with Webb? None of that would make a #### to me as long as it has air brakes. Get rid of the bolted on lined shoes when worn out. Double brake chambers ( probably 30/ 30 ) and the 8 sided one valve does every thing. Probably need two tanks as there is probably enough room for a large single tank under that trailer.Star Rider and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

A picture of the whole trailer would really help.
Bean Jr. and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
Unless the tires are nla, or a size that is expensive as all h*ll, why spend the $$ on switching hubs & rims? There’s nothing wrong with Dayton’s.

Ya ever try gettin one fixed on the road, in recent times?Star Rider, beastr123 and BoxCarKidd Thank this.
