I was told the loss of coolant was due to head gasket

I have used cascade for dishwashers for bout 20 years. It will cut grease etc. However after the cascade pull the thermostat out. Then fill the radiator start it and pull the drain plug out of bottom hose. With the water hose in fill neck get regulated where it stays full. Let it run an hour or more.

I own a small quick lube.

    sedan flush is about $250
    • 1.5hr labor (@ $80/hr)
      • drain ALL old stuff
      • fill system with water/run for 20 mins/drain
      • fill with cleaner mix, run for 20 mins/drain mix
      • fill with 2nd cleaner mix, run for 20 mins/drain
      • fill with water/run for 3o mins/drain
      • fill with coolant/run on high idle/bleed all air
    • add cost of coolant (8-14qts)
    • add cost of cleaner mix
    Sooooo....In your case....

    Ill take $1,000 coz that's a lot of gunk & coolant & time...lmao

    or

Do it yourself and dont screw it up this time.

and it could be possible that someone dumped "stop leak" into the radiator. go to any truck stop store and you will find such a chemical.

good luck, I wish you well.

go to any quick lube place, just be sure to bring your own diesel engine specific coolant, not automotive that they will have.

    Noooooo....I was just kidding. :)

Dont bring it to me. I only touch my truck (no one else's)

I'm not diesel "certified" so I dont want no liability issues

Follow the steps above, and it just might turn out ok.

    Rubberens and buddyd157 Thank this.
