help with air dryer

    on my air dryer the terminal for the power, has gone bad can i remove the snap ring and then the heat element or what ever it is, never had to remove that, just want to know if its spring loaded or something else i should b prepared for!!!!

    The element isn't spring loaded or under air pressure, it sits in a blind hole cavity to warm the purge valve during cold weather operation.
