On a typical week,I will get in and tell my dispatcher when I can go out again, without fail he always lines a long one out for me. Like I will go to our Bangor yard, fuel up at the terminal, ask and get a cash advance ,hookup to my preloaded trailer, pre trip truck and trailer,go to truckstop up the road, grab a hotdog for me and my dog, weigh and axle out, head out to oshkosh wi,left yard after having 2.5 days off, left wed am ,del friday am,ussually at midnite on the aether i get my reload info, the nite before I unload, unloaded at oshkosh in an hour,go to greenbay wi,reload in an hour,go to stretchers truck stop in fon du lac,100 mm on 41,tke my long break, drop load at our drop yard in shrewsbury ma,post trip that trailer, get an empty right there,go drop n hook in holyoke ma,go to auburn me,drop n hook an emty up and post and pretrip, then to bangor with my empty trailer,I always wash the rubber floors with simple green, and clean the inside up good, dusting etc,and the windows,go home for 2 days, after letting my dispatcher know when i need a load again.I left wed at noon, back, after midnite in bangor sunday night,I will be off, mon, tue, wed, thurs, and go out friday or sat.to del monday, after taxes and my wife and my life insurance, hartt pays a 20000 free plan and I have more on us thru them, health insurance and dental, after a 150.00 advance i will clear about 700 to 750,consistently every week, except holliday weeks, but,i like the breaks.I haven't touched or had to count a load.We have local drivers to deliver loads so we are never bogged down. This is my idea of great dispatching,my regular dispatcher sends me out,and others, sometimes 3 different ones, males and females get me home consistantly and I have utmost respect for the hartt management and dispatch. Others may pay more, but they work alot harder,my days are easy as you can see, leave when you want to and be on time,to load and unload, take care of your truck and that's really how smooth it is here. Good for an old Geezer like me,The Dot guys call me that sometimes,we get a good laugh sometimes. You will find when you get years in the seat the dot can be really nice to you,as long as you dot your T"s so to speak. You all have a Great Thankgiving out there and be careful.
