I just want to throw this out there. My parents homeschooled me on a truck from 8th to 12th grade and I had a really hard time adjusting when I went to college. I enjoyed many aspects of it at the time, but looking back I would have had a better chance at living the life I want under more normal circumstances. There are only so many things you and your husband can teach a person; your son would benefit from being exposed to other people and ideas. I enjoyed experiencing the trucker culture, but it did not prepare me for the college classroom or for a job in our society (besides truck driving). I hope you don't find this rude. I have no children of my own and no wish to speak on parenting. I've simply experienced life on the road with my parents and even though it was fun and I never really told them that I wanted off (all kids just want to please their parents and I knew it was what they wanted), I really don't feel that living on a truck benfited me but has in fact hindered me.
