Hey y'all! I am currently working toward obtaining my CDL-A in the very near future. Currently tossing a coin between a few training facilities. I came here to research, learn and possibly inquire information from the wise ones! ~ MSW

Welcome aboard, 2 out of 3 isn't bad. From the wise ones?
That could be debated, but you came to the right place. You'll will get 10 different answers in 10 posts, but I say, it's best to go with a company that offers training and a job upon completion. It relieves the stress of having to actually look for a job later. Many times, you can work off the schooling. We've heard of horror stories of folks going through training only to be turned down later. Be advised, and I can't stress this enough, no matter where you end up, you'll start at the bottom. You may or may not make what they promised, but I still say the best way to get in. The company has a vested interest in you. Some fly by night school that took your money, not so much. Don't get me wrong I think there are a lot of good schools, we only hear about the bad ones. It's also important to narrow down what you want to do. Local,( home daily) regional,( possible overnight) over the road,( never home) and what type, reefer, van, flatbed, tank, dump, it's easy to be overwhelmed here or any new venture. Good luck, keep us posted, eh?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.
Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.Turdzthaword Thanks this.
