Hi guys were Rob and Lisa, We are thinking about getting our CDL's and thought it would be smart to join a site like this to get real feedback and get a feel for life on the road from those that live it. A little info on us, were both 53 and in good shape. I have had the pleasure of driving through out the united states in a 4 wheeler due to a business I owned, and I delivered handicapped Vans in most every state. Our son is starting College next summer and the wife and I thought it would be a nice opportunity for us. We have been married for 28 years ( and I would like to keep it that way) so we are really looking forward to any and all the advice we can get here. We look forward to making new friends and getting the knowledge we need to start a new chapter in our lives. Thank You ! Rob & Lisa BTW we are located in Battle Creek, MI

Many husband/wife teams posting on here.
Put your location on your profile so we know the hiring area you live in.
Attend a 160 hr. CDL school and get the hazmat/tanker endorsement plus passport or passport card for Canada runs.
You need the tanker/hazmat endorsements even pulling dry van trailers, because sometimes those loads will be large plastic containers of liquid.

A few good team companies that hire new CDL graduates:

    Old Dominion
    US Express
    Covenant Transport
    Pride Transport

    There's more!
