Blackdog: I'm not sure what that disc has on it, up here in Canada I know some fleets have access to Ecat online but I've never herad of someone getting their own 'disc'. The biggest problem you may run into is breaking down assemblies, like drivelines, seats, suspensions. But if you have any questions at all I'd be more than happy to help.

Hello again KW PG (what is your name?)
The ECat disc i refer to is for my VIN truck, only. It lists all parts and has diagrams.
If i remember correctly it was about $300....:biggrin_2553:
I do fairly well at getting that much out of it, but i wonder if i could get wiring diagrams etc if i knew more about it and wasnt such a computer idiot?
Again, a BIG thank you for offering to help us with our KW's. It is very generous of you... david

Yeah I'm sure the disc wasnt't free, nothing from PACCAR is, but i'll share what I can here. Even we have a tough time finding stuff in Ecat, they change things, and build things differently every few years or so, so techniques you used to find a part with now have to cahnge depending on the year, and we all figure the program is designed by folks who have never seen a truck close up or had to use thei own system to look up those parts. But I digress, it can be greuling when its crazy, but rewarding everytime you find that little tidbit you were looking for, you guys can get your business back down the road and deliver that trailer load of baby hearts going to the transplant hospital(sorry partsman humor).

I should add ad the outset, please dont ask me for pricing, all dealers set their own prices and I'm not here to undercut or promote my own/any dealership. Just to offer a little help and the occaisional wiriing schematic. Let me lay out a couple more details:

    1. I need the last 6 of your VIN number to find anything/everything
    2. Also need the year.
    3. Please PM me the request, just helps me so I dont miss a request if the thread gets long.
    4. If you want a diagram I will need an e-mail adress to forward it to
    5. I can also look up Finning and Cummins parts NOT in a Kenworth if you give me the COMPLETE ENGINE SER, cpl and arangement numbers are no longer enough to be 100% positive on the actual parts on your engine any more.
    6. If it was added to your truck after it left the factory I cant look it up!
    7. Again no price requests, these will be ignored.
    8. And I swear to god, if anyone sends me a request without the critcal info mentioned above, instead replacing the info with the phrase 'hey come man they're all the same', you will be ignored and made the butt of many jokes and riffs from my crew as we sling turbos and brake shoes all day!

I like to help, so send me your request and I'll try to answer them all in a timely fashion.

Sorry I forgot to add my name is JP!

    Hello again JP:
Thanks for the note. I am sure many members will be taking advantage of you and your offer.
Not being offensive here, so dont take this the wrong way. You seem very sincere and willing to help. Several guys have posted here, saying they will help with whatever they specialize in, and they are never seen again. You have checked back and answered everything . Thank you for a very generous service.... david,,,:biggrin_25514:
